My name is Gayle McGilberry and I am happy to be the librarian at St. Richard Catholic School! Before I was a librarian here, I was the assistant librarian for three years at Cathedral Catholic School in Natchez, MS. Way back in 1985 I was a special education teacher at Natchez High School where I taught 28 years. I have been working in education for 34 years so I think it’s safe to say I LOVE TEACHING! I was born and raised in Natchez, MS, where I was a member of St. Mary Basilica and a graduate of Cathedral Catholic School. I attended USM in Hattiesburg, MS, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Social Rehabilitation Services with certification in Educationally Handicapped (K-12) in 1985. I continued my education at USM and received a Master of Library Science in 2006. I am married and have two grown sons. My favorite hobby is cooking and of course, eating what I cook! I consider teaching my passion and feel blessed to be able to do what I love in a Catholic school setting. I have experienced the benefits and rewards of a Catholic education and what it means to be a part of a Catholic school family. I am thrilled and give many thanks to God for the opportunity to be a part of
St. Richard School, and to do my very best to share and instill the values of love, learning, community and faith with the St. Richard family.
